Tarkari (“we”, “us”, “the app”) is a neighbourhood produce marketplace that connects buyers with nearby vegetable and fruit sellers (sabziwale) and delivery riders in India. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we share it. By using Tarkari you agree to this policy.

Location is central to Tarkari, so we separate how it works by role:
You can control location permission from your device settings. If location is off, some live map, nearby discovery and delivery features may not work correctly.
These partners process data on our behalf under their own terms. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users' safety.
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service and meet legal, tax and dispute-resolution obligations. Order, payment, refund, abuse-prevention and support records may be retained where needed for accounting, legal compliance, fraud prevention or dispute handling. Operational data such as stale live offers, old stock media and inactive delivery state may be removed or archived when it is no longer needed for the service.
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by role, and delivery is confirmed with one-time codes. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You can request account deletion by contacting us from the phone number linked to your Tarkari account, or by including enough information for us to verify that the account belongs to you. After verification, we will delete or de-identify personal data that we no longer need to keep. Some records may be retained where required for legal, tax, payment, fraud-prevention or dispute reasons.
We follow applicable Indian data-protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
You may receive transactional notifications such as OTP, order status, nearby seller alerts, delivery updates and seller Pro subscription messages. You can control push notification permissions in your device settings. Turning off notifications may make order and delivery updates less timely.
Tarkari is not directed to people under 18. Do not use the app if you are under 18.
We may update this policy. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
